My response to this…
Thankyou Mrs Twigg for taking the time to feedback to me.I have always stated that the feedback I receive I will attempt to act on and respond to whether that is positive or indicating room for improvement on my part.In responding to your feedback I would state the following…
1. I made Alex aware that I might not be in a position to fully commit to 2 lessons per week every week as I had 40 pupils to accomodate but would wherever possible offer him 90 minute lessons and if I could would give him the 2 lessons he desired then I would.He appeared to be happy with this arrangement and I never felt this to be a major problem.Had you approached me directly with your concerns then I would have returned your money to you and you would have been free to source another Instructor who may have been able to accomodate your needs.
2. Of all the weeks available to us for lessons we only missed 6 weekly lessons which were unplanned (from March 2016 to December 2016).
3. Alex passed his test after having 39.5 hrs of tuition (The National average is around 45hrs plus approx 22hrs private practise)
4. I only prioritise pupils once they have a Test planned or when they have a definite criteria to achieve…eg to meet a job requirement (otherwise I am being unfair to my other pupils) and once Alex booked his Test I can assure you that he was a priority.
5. In order to improve my service I have recently introduced a system of checking with my pupils periodically about Test expectations and would hope that parents can express their views on this directly to me at any time.I am only too happy to discuss pupils progress with parents at any time and would seek to encourage this.
I would like to finish by saying that I found Alex to be a charming young chap and I thoroughly enjoyed helping him to achieve his goal of driving independently.
